    WHY SUPPORT US

Groups that have traditionally faced challenges 'breaking into' careers are likely to be disproportionately affected in this crisis. We need to create positive pathways for those affected by the crisis, a chance to upskill and open new doors. They need a structure to help them win in the future and give them hope. These groups include those of multicultural, working class and neurodiverse backgrounds.

We also need to protect and enrich the talent pipeline with a diversity of voices for employers in the future.

Brixton Finishing School for Digital Talent is working to resolve these challenges, nationally, by building a 'virtual' summer school (and we hope, beyond) that prepares you for the creative industries.

We believe talent is distributed equally across the UK but opportunities are not, and a virtual school, a creative/advertising industry backed gateway is the answer. We will prepare as many as we can across the UK to be in the best position to win once opportunities open up again. It's, free, industry taught and open to 14- 25 year olds to support them in achieving their potential in the Creative, Advertising and Technology industries.

We are facing a huge shortfall in funding and need your financial support to make this a reality - please can you ensure potential isn't wasted? We do SO MUCH with so little - this really is a chance to make a difference to a young person's outcomes.

We are partnering with Speaker4Schools nationwide to virtually replace lost work experience programmes/placements with this course for interested 14-18 year olds, opening up our 'secret' world of advertising to a much wider audience and introducing the concept of this as a career at a younger age.

We will be virtually working with 18-25 year olds from multicultural, white working class and neurodiverse backgrounds to accelerate their skills, network and employment potential. This will ensure our industry continues in its need to transform it's diversity and inclusivity. Brixton Finishing School disrupts the way the Creative, Advertising, and Tech Industries recruit talent, creating employment opportunities for those from "under represented" groups.

Pre Covid our programme had a 95% graduate employment rate. Things are now tough and roles aren't open - but we are best placed to prepare as many as we can to be in prime position to win once opportunities open up again

.We offer a free, premium, training programme to groups 'under utilised' by employers (multicultural, white working class, neurodiverse). It's industry led and ends with our graduates shortlisted for 'ring fenced' roles at our partners

Our work is even more important due to the impact of COVID 19 on employment. By creating a virtual school, we overcome the challenge of our London location, and hopefully get some more northern and regional voices into the business.

We are facing a shortfall in funding and need your help to ensure we can protect the futures of young people across the UK who want to break into this world. We have a massive opportunity to make a difference. It will include weekly webinars with industry experts, professional skills workshops, live Q&As, virtual group project work on real briefs and remote mentoring.

We envisage it being ongoing and growing in terms of its breadth of coverage. It's a huge opportunity to open Adland's doors to ALL at a time when hope of a better future is key. Brixton Finishing School looks for qualities in people when selecting who will take part, we value qualifications but we also value potential

.Please support us in our mission to protect the potential of our younger generation and to literally change the face of 'Adland'.We are also looking for partners who will donate professional skills, digital marketing and engaging project briefs.. please contact info@brixtonfinishingschool.org
