I've raised £1000 to help fund Broadgate Primary School's NEW Trim Trail.

A small group of regular and new runners - "The Broadgate Pacers" - are running the Leeds 10K race on Sunday 8th July 2018. Susy Rhodes, Selina Jones, Paul Hornby, Matthew Hoyle and myself will line up to try and beat the course, run as quick a time as we can, all with the intention of raising as MUCH as possible for this outstanding cause. Through the huge efforts of the Parent-Teacher Association, the massive generosity of local businesses and the toil and sweat of a few individuals, this pipe-dream is edging closer to reality. Please support our efforts, dig deep, give generously please. This project is aimed to give our children fun-to-use exercise equipment to last for many years, to improve their own fitness outdoors and give regular exercise a "great fun" element. Thanks in advance to you all.
Selina - I lost weight to be more healthy as the children got older. A friend was training for the Abbey dash, and I could run with her rather than watch football training; I enjoyed it and started doing Parkrun with my son. I now fancy a bigger challenge and have started running with the Pacers. I think it sets a good example to the children to exercise, and the trim trail will help the children enjoy being active.
Barney - Starting running for fitness is something I never thought I would do. It's been such an eye-opener for me, both in personal goals and achievements, and also understanding what the body and mind are capable of. Supporting the school's Trim Trail project has been a real pleasure, and now that we are starting "Phase One" of the build, we will soon see the results. I'm so pleased to be running with our newly-formed running group, and hope this is the first event of many we can run together.
