Story

My aim is to provide mental health support in the UK & Ireland to people who struggle to access these services for reasons like affordability, disability and geographical obstacles but I need your help to fund that. Your contributions will help cover basic costs of travel for home visits, materials & resources needed to provide these services to those that need them but simply can't access services in the usual ways.

BroadMinds was originally established as a fund raising team in 2013 with the simple objective of raising awareness of mental health issues and raising money for charities like Mind. Things have moved on significantly since then: I have been training as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist and I've spent a great many hours volunteering in the community, giving my time freely and using the skills I've been developing to help those I can reach. While I've been training I've seen first hand how difficult it can be for people to access the services they need. So my aim is to try to reach as many of those people as I can. As you can imagine there are costs involved in that which I've been personally funding but to continue with that work & expand that provision I need your help.

To underline my commitment, in April 2019 I will be running the London Marathon for the third time. I ask for your support in sponsoring my efforts so that I can reach more people who need help.
