Weʼre raising £5,000 to help support Brockswood Animal Sanctuary through the winter, and closure due to Covid-19.

What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Story
Sadly, due to the second National Lockdown, we have been forced to close again and unlikely to be able to hold our usual Christmas events, despite the financial problems this will cause us. As a not-for profit organisation, receiving NO outside funding, and so far unable to access any Government Coronavirus aid grants, we completely rely on funds raised from your visits and kind donations. Winter is a particularly tough time for us financially; the grass stops growing, the paddocks become muddy, and the animals need a lot of extra care and attention. Every little bit of extra income over the winter period can make a big difference to the animals here at Brockswood.
As our hard working team continues to care for our many rescued animals, remaining closed will have an enormous impact on our funds, with it currently costing just under £3,000 per week to look after the animals.
Our elderly animals suffer the most from the cold, so they need a lot of special treatment - Nice thick straw beds for extra warmth (and as many of these older animals suffer from arthritis, the extra depth helps to cushion their joints); large amounts of hay to compensate for the loss of grass in the paddocks; and extra feeds and mineral blocks to ensure weight is kept on, as some of these older animals are at an age where they find it harder to metabolise all the nutrients that they need.

Every single donation no matter the size will be a huge help to us! Keeping our rescued animals safe, warm, well fed, as well as veterinary treatment comes at a considerable cost.
We are so grateful to all of our amazing supporters for aiding our important work here so far, and hope that you will continue to do so now when we need you more than ever. We have a HUGE vision for this sanctuary and so much more that we want to do here – if you are interested in this, you can find it all in our Three Year Strategic Plan, which covers much of the vision we have been working towards and the future that we want to secure for our animals with your help.
If you are able to support us in any way with the ongoing costs of our animal care, please donate here, or visit our website Covid-19 Support section for more donation options. If you wish to support us through the donation of physical items, i.e. food for our animals, or would prefer to make a donation outside of the JustGiving platform, please get in touch.
We would like to thank you for your ongoing support during this difficult and uncertain time, and hope that we will see you again in the future. Until then, stay safe!
