Story
When someone in your family is going through treatment for an Illness the whole family goes through it with them. It becomes a journey with lots of highs and lows. You are so focused on getting to the end of treatment date and making your loved ones better that when you do get there the moment just goes without being celebrated. We want to give a little gift to look back on and to celebrate the achievement of fighting and kicking whatever illness they had.
Most people get to ring the end of treatment bells. We want to provide a plaque to give to each family with the date that the bell was rung. A little gift from us to acknowledge the journey and the fact we know how hard it is to get to that point.
My little boy has Leukemia and every hospital visit he looks at the bell and asks if its his turn to ring it yet. Its a symbol of hope and gives their little minds and bodies something to look forward to. I am hoping to provide 10 of these plaques a month. Each at £5 each meaning our yearly total we are hoping to raise is £600 once we have raised this amount if we can give more to more families throughout the year then we will.
