Story

Many will be aware of the devastating mudslide in Regent, on the outskirts of Freetown, which occurred in the early hours of 14th August 2017, where more than 500 lives were lost.

Rain has continued to effected numerous communities with flooding reaching Freetown and its surrounding areas.

Patrick Lamin has been working tirelessly, through his own personal grief, for agencies on the ground. Through this, he has completed instant assessments within the effected communities. Not only have families lost so much, but there is now a high risk of cholera within these communities.

He has listed immediate items that are needed such as blankets, buckets, bathing soap, laundry soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste.

Food items include rice, vegetable oil, onions, salt, sugar, and most importantly, safe drinking water.

The money will be sent directly to Patrick to buy these basics.

Any contribution is greatly appreciated and hopefully we can all help as much as possible.
