Story

The Bronte Barbarians ARLFC are taking part in the 3 peaks challenge to raise funds for the Heartbeat of Sport

The Bronte Barbarians kids are taking part in this this year to raise funds for the charity.

What is the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge? This challenge starts and finishes at Horton-In-Ribblesdale, Yorkshire. Walkers will first head for Pen-Y-Ghent (691 metres) utilising parts of the Pennine Way, then head over to Ribblehead via the local Mosses which cover the low Dales. Continue alongside the Settle to Carlise railway, before starting the climb to the summit of Whernside (728 metres). Drop down to Chapel-le-Dale, before the final climb of the day up to Ingleborough (723 metres). Now the long walk back to the finish at Horton, in total 24.5 miles and I aim to do it within 12 hours.
