Bronwyn and Chloe have completed their bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh and this year we are doing our gold Duke of Edinburgh. As part of Gold Duke of Edinburgh you must do at least one week residential and for this we would love to go to South Africa and volunteer at an animal conservation. During this volunteering we would work with the famous Big Five as well as do bird monitoring. We would help endangered animals have a safe place to live and monitor their lives. We are planning on doing a lot of fundraising throughout the year as we are planning to go next June. This trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity which we have both always dreamed of doing. However experiences like this come at a great cost therefore we are hoping to raise £3000 to help fund us to go on this amazing, life changing trip. We will be contributing a lot to the animals and hopefully increase their quality of life which will mean a great deal to both of us due to our passion for animals. We will also be helping the local people and make a difference in their lives too. To begin we are hoping to raise enough to cover at least our deposits and will build on that.
