Story

It has been just over a year now since we lost Barry Wood, a valuable member of the Bronze family.

Since then there have been some major changes at the Club; a full refurbishment of the Clubhouse and a brand new Practice Nets. All of this to provide better facilities for current and future members, young and old.

Up to now, with the Pandemic, the Club has not been able to properly honour the hard work and dedication that Barry gave over many years. With that in mind, the Committee has decided to use the area at the end of the new nets as a Memorial Garden.

In it will be a centrepiece of a miniature Willow tree with a slabbed area to accommodate benches, so people can watch the future generations of Bronze cricketers that Barry was so passionate about, practice.

Obviously this project comes at a price, so the Club would welcome any donations to aid in the installation of this. Work has already begun and will be officially opened at the Barry Wood Day which is to be held on Sunday the 29th of August.
