Story
We are a rural community in Norfolk. Ambulance crews carry defibrillators which aim to restore the heart's normal rhythm in the event of a cardiac arrest (heart attack) but ambulance response times have increased over the past few years. Quick access to a community public access defibrillator (CPAD) can increase the chances of survival and reduce the damage caused by a cardiac arrest. We are therefore fundraising to purchase a CPAD to be sited at the village hall for access 24/7 and for use by the public.
Cardiac arrest can occur to anyone of any age. A CPAD can be operated by any member of the public, even without training. Please help us raise funds for this vital piece of equipment . Both Brooke Parish Council and South Norfolk District Council have pledged funds towards this project and the Village Hall Committee have agreed for it to be sited outside the village hall.
