Story

The Brookfield House PTA provide funds for the pupils at the Brookfield House Campus (which is part of the Hornbeam Academy) to enable them to have a stimulating learning environment at school and to have access to a range of experiences and activities in the local community.

At Brookfield House we currently have 126 pupils, aged between 2-19, who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The PTA are currently fund-raising to develop the school playground with a range of accessible and stimulating play equipment for our pupils. Learning through play is a vital part of our curriculum and developing outdoor play has been chosen as one of our four main areas of our school development plan this year. Currently we have a large empty space as our school playground and we urgently need to provide play equipment which will enable our pupils to develop their social and communication skills through play.

Tom’s Dad, Leon (pictured), is running the Tokyo Marathon on Sunday 3rd March. He is running the six major marathons and Tokyo is his number 5. He is running for the Brookfield House School PTA and you can donate here if you would like to support him and the school.
