Story

Brooklyn has always been a really happy and active little boy. Last summer holidays we were playing football in the back garden and learning to grow our own veg, but this summer holidays he will spend all his time in hospital or in a partial body cast
In January Brooklyn ended up being rushed into A&E with agonising pain in his hip. After a few appointments and misdiagnoses we were finally told that he has Perthes Disease. Perthes is where the blood supply to the ball of your hip joint is cut off and the bone dies, causing extreme pain. As the blood supply returns the ball will regrow but as it is so badly damaged annd misshapen Brooklyn is going to need an operation in the next few weeks to try and improve the chances of the ball reforming correctly and to minimise his pain in the future.
We are so grateful for the chance he's been given with this operation, however financial concerns are making this extremely stressful time even more stressful. Due to the amount of time Brooklyn needs off school for appointments and treatment it is impractical for both me and his dad to work, and as I work for minimum wage it is tight but we manage. I will be needing to take time off work after Brooklyns operation which will exceed my allowed holiday time and paired with travel costs to and from various hospitals and new equipment needed for him once he's out of hospital and in his cast (even silly things like new clothing will all need to be purchased to accommodate his cast) we are asking if anyone can donate anything, big or small to try and ease the burden and let us put all focus on what is most important: Brooklyn. Thank you.

TL;DR. Please help us to afford travel, time of work and other out of pocket expenses while our little boy goes through a major operation. Thank you.
