This time last year 57-year old Danny was rushed to hospital with septicemia. Unfortunately, being diabetic as well, the infection had spread deep into the bone of his foot and almost 50% of the foot had to be amputated. Luckily, Danny recovered from the infection but doctors quickly became concerned over something else. Tests were done and they found that Danny had bowel cancer. For over a year Danny has fought the disease, contended with blood clots and various other medical issues, all while learning to walk with half a foot! His bravery and selflessness during this time could be called heroic but in reality it was his faith in Jehovah that got him this far. Sadly, brother Danny has just been informed the cancer is indeed terminal. While Danny believes in resurrection like all witnesses, he is also aware of how much the earthly costs of a funeral can accrue and would not like the thought of leaving his family with so much debt.
