Weʼre raising £1,000 to Help make the vital repairs to our rehearsal room roof.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Our rehearsal space is almost 70 years old itself and is there for in desperate need of renovation. We are currently fundraising for some vital repairs to our roof. Due to age and some unfortunate acts of vandalism our roof now has many holes in it, which leak water and causes damage to the building.
Broughton Dramatic Society require these repairs to our rehearsal space in order to continue to safely rehearse there and continue to put on plays for the North Lincolnshire community. Our community values the service we provide. As a charity we provide affordable theatre to the residents of North Lincolnshire. The group also provides free of charge tickets to several in need groups such as the Broughton Pensioners group and more recently the women’s refuge. These groups look forward to our productions, with a lot of the recipients unable to attend the local theatre any more due to cost and mobility issues.
Our performances are held at Broughton Village Hall, with the ticket prices fixed at the low cost of £6, inclusive of refreshments. Our productions are well attended by the residents of North Lincolnshire. If we are unable to attain the vital funds, we require to make the repairs to our building we would be left without a rehearsal space and therefore potentially unable to provide this service for our community any more.
