Story

Bruno spent the first 18 months of his life on the streets of Bosnia. Bruno's loving sweet nature and his size often made him a target for abuse and he was chased, beaten and abused. Bruno would always return with a big waggy tail in hope of some love and affection and maybe even a slice of bread (bread is often given to street dogs by locals). Residents of the local village wanted Bruno gone so they decided to call the dreaded dog catchers in to take him away. In Bosnia there is a fantastic shelter ran by a lovely lady called Maya who at the last moment took Bruno from the dog catchers and took him in were she nursed him back to health. Bruno then spent 3 years in Bosnia at the shelter where he was very well cared for. A few months ago Maya noticed Bruno's left eye had started to change colour and was sightly cloudy Bruno was then taken to the vets where they discovered he had glaucoma and cataracts. They started with anti-biotics and eye drops but unfortunately the medication did not work and we quickly realised Bruno would need surgery to correct the left eye and hopefully save it. On the 12th of January 2019 Bruno was brought to the UK to save his eye sight, we are now trying to raise enough money to give Bruno the chance of saving his left eye. Below is a picture of the day Bruno arrived i could not have been more happier to see Bruno take his first steps on UK soil were he will eventually find his forever home.
