Story

Last Friday (1st February) our pug Bruno went for his usual walk but unfortunately he wasn't his usual happy self- he couldn't walk properly and he was slightly dragging his legs. He progressively got worse until he was unable to walk, run or go to the toilet and he started crying from the pain. On Saturday (2nd February) Bruno was taken to the vets where he was given an injection of metacam, an anti-inflammatory painkiller, and was given some more to take home with the instruction that he should return the following day. There was some slight improvement on Sunday. However, Bruno was still unable to urinate so we returned to the vets again on Monday, where he was given a catheter and referred to a specialist in Newmarket for a consultation. Bruno had to stay the night and await an MRI the following day. It was discovered that Bruno had two slipped discs and needed an operation. We proceeded as we still want him to enjoy the rest of his life as a happy, healthy pup. However, this came with a great vets bill. It is for this reason that a few friends and I will be climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks to help cover the cost for Bruno. All animal and dog lovers will understand the lengths any of us would go to for our pets and I really hope you will support our efforts in this cause- it would be so greatly appreciated.
