    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Isabel was born extremely premature at 25 weeks weighing only 830g. Throughout Isabel's 5 and a half month stay in the neonatal intensive care unit she was ventilated, had 3 laparotomy operations to remove her dead small intestine caused by NEC. She also caught Septicaemia at the same time and was on full life support, she had steroids and had seizures.

The family were told many times that she wouldn't have any quality of life and to turn the machines off, but they refused to give up on her. Isabel is a true fighter, but from everything that she’s been through, sadly she is now severely disabled.

    Isabel has been diagnosed with…
    Necrotising Enterocolitis
    Short bowel syndrome
    Cerebral Palsy
    Cystic Periventricular Leukomalacia
    Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
    Grade 2 Retinopathy of Prematurely
    Continuous pump fed
    Unsafe swallow
Also, over half her brain has been damaged and is now gone.

Isabel has had 3 operations so far and has to have another major operation this year (2017) to place Gastrostomy then Gastrojejunostomy extension tube. She will be peg fed continuously through out the day and night.

The family urgently need to raise funds for specialist and sensory equipment for Isabel, like special seating, sensory toys, go to seat, a specialist car seat, bath and splints. And the list will keep going as she grows.

Please help Isabel and her family by donating today, every little bit helps them.

On May 18th I will be attempting to be the first UK woman to finish 10 iron distance triathlons in 10 days (a Deca Triathlon). I also hope to be the first person to do a Deca on a recumbent bike! I want to use this as an opportunity to raise much needed funds for Isabel and her family.

It's a great way to show people that they can reach for their dreams, inspire other, achieve own goals and at the same time act for the benefits of others

Good luck Claire - hope you smash your fundraising target for little Isobel. I can't image completing one IronMan, let alone 10 in a row!
