Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
I have been volunteering at Hope school for a few weeks now, and with having experience in many different volunteer projects all around Asia, I can hand on heart say that Hope Agency is like no other.
Based in a very rural village in Cambodia, Hope agency runs 2 schools which teach English to 500 children in order to better their futures as reality for the majority of Cambodians is factory work, farm work and in many cases prostitution.
Hope Agency also run a food bank for the poorest families in the area and reading each of their stories and how Hope have already helped and how they wish to further support each family left me speechless. They have kept families out of sleeping in wet mud open to scorpions and snakes, allowed an elderly lady to see by paying for the removal of both her cataracts and provided the start of many businesses for the parents so they can eventually get back on their own two feet.
As if they didn’t have enough on their plate, Hope are a huge helping hand to a local orphanage where some of the children have special needs. I have been volunteering at the orphanage every morning and the children their are so full of love and life even though they have so little of their own and have experienced so much heartache already.
With all these amazing current projects running and possible future plans, donations, whether small or big, are crucial here and go such a long way.
Just the simple privilege of a clean water system and effective electricity system like we have back home isn’t even in their wildest of dreams. To put it into perspective, the yearly income for many Cambodians here is £250, a figure we often spend on a big weekend out back home.
Donations are used for a million different things here as Hope agency want to help in every way possible. Just a few examples are school supplies, food packages, medical bills, house renovations & university tuitions.
So I would like to ask my family & friends to donate & please help change the lives of some of the sweetest children and families iv ever met. X
