Story
Our inaugural Festival was in 2011, and every year it just gets better and better. Last year’s event was brilliant. With over 450 Scarecrows displayed, 30 events and 30,000 followers it was our biggest yet. People said: "This is a wonderful Festival; The Scarecrows are amazing, they make everyone, children and adults SMILE" "I'm proud to live in Bothwell now" "It's wonderful to see so many people just walking around, taking hundreds of photographs, and enjoying themselves".
This will be our 9th year and every year it gets more daunting for our organising committee of volunteers to keep it fresh and exciting. We need to be able to reassure them and encourage them to keep taking risks with new and creative programme of events and activities. This we can do with the additional funding we want from CROWDFUNDING.
Success with this appeal will ensure the Bothwell Scarecrow Festival enjoys another successful year and maintains its position as Number one Scarecrow Festival in Scotland.
