We would love to help fund Nicole and Ruben Spaargaren and Luke and Claire Christian-Farman in their BSSM alumni connection and support work.

Nicole and Ruben Spaargaren are preparing a Welcome Home pack for returning students as well as helping fuel alumni hubs around the country.

Luke and Claire Christian-Farman are arranging this year's Welcome Back Day, usually attended by around 40 returning students.

This all builds on the BSSM alumni strategy day that we hosted in December with Paul and Sue Manwaring at which exciting plans for alumni connection and support were birthed. We have asked BSSM/Bethel if they could provide funding but they are not in a position to help at this stage.

We are very excited that hubs have started in Bristol and in Manchester with possible ones in Wales and Edinburgh. London has had gatherings of various sorts for a while and the Welcome Back now seems to be an established event in the calendar.

Our view is that we need £3,000 in total - there's quite a bit of work involved, the Welcome pack needs to be well produced and, while this work has started with no guarantee of funding, we really want to honour the commitment of the Spaargarens and Christian-Farmans. We believe that alumni and Bethel-loving churches will be keen to support this work and this page gives us all that opportunity.

So, should we all club together and fan the flames of what students have already brought back and help newly returning students do really well? We think it's a great cause!
