Story
On 23rd October, Charlotte Mcloughlin lost her very brave battle with Cystic Fibrosis. During her time at Stand Preschool, Charlotte was known for her fun, outgoing, crazy personality and of course all the cakes she brought! She always put the needs of others before herself and was absolutely gutted she became too poorly to work last year.
She touched many lives while at Preschool during her 9 years of service, and we want to honour her memory by building a Charlotte Mcloughlin Buddy Bench, so she can continue to facilitate friendships between children for many years to come.
The bench will be placed in the Garden at Higher Lane Primary School, where Stand Preschool is now based. We will surround it with her favourite flowers and make it an absolutely lovely spot to remember Charlotte and celebrate all the things she stood for - fun, friendship, love and laughter.
If you would like to contribute, every amount is welcome. We are also proposing to let children leave a fingerprint on the bench, showing the amount of little (and no longer little!!) hands she held during her time at Stand Preschool. Details of how to do this will follow.
Any extra money we raise over and above the target, will be split between two causes close to Charlotte's heart - Cwtches by Kim and the Pearce Ward at Wythenshaw Hospital.
