Story
Earlier this year we learnt one of our unborn twins was extremely poorly, we knew Buddy would never make it to see the world.
Our amazing Midwives helped us prepare for their arrival knowing we would give birth to two babies but would only leave with one. As the twins arrival approached we were prepping to have the babies on delivery and then move to a quiet bereavement suite so we could have some time alone with Buddy and grieve in privacy, whilst remaining close to Special care where Quincy would spend the first weeks of his life.
Unfortunately on our arrival the bereavement suite wasn't ready and after giving birth we were left in limbo. It was clear there was no room for our situation. The staff were amazing and looked after us but we were on delivery suite grieving whilst woman were giving birth to their babies. We realised during our stay how important a bereavement suite is, even if its just a short stay to make a few memories as a family.
We would love to raise as much money as possible to help get the bereavement suite up and running and although we hope the room is rarely used it would be great to know it would be waiting to help people through the toughest of times.
