Story

We are trying to raise £1500 to build a toilet block for the children and sink a Well so there is water on site.

See our YouTube video about the Challenge

The Well

For the Well we need a survey completed first which will cost approx £500 after we will be given sufficient information to gather costs for the borehole and pumping equipment expected to be IRO £1000-2000.

The Toilets

When I was at school toilets were affectionately known as the BOGS. But here at Kipsamoite SDA primary school Kenya they really are the BOGS dirty, smelly, filled with bugs of all descriptions. The long drop as its known here isn't a place to sit and scroll through your latest Facebook postings its a place to get in and out before you catch some deadly disease !!!

All genders share the same block as well as teachers too it is really degrading and disgusting. So once we have finished phase 3 (the building of two. more classrooms ) we intend to build a bog to be proud of.

Please donate generously to help promote better hygiene and safer facilities for these children and their teachers.

Water Butt challenge

To stimulate funds the children came up with the idea of the Water Butt Challenge where they will try and fill the 2000 lt water butt using the water containers they bring to school each day. They plan to do it in under 2 hours. Please give generously as it will excite the children so much they have done something to aid the building of their own school.

Can you donate a lump sum for the whole 2000 litres I guarantee they will smash it.

See what they have to do here. https://youtu.be/D_bmJncNNnw
