I've raised £1500 to Pay for Chemotherapy for Burnese

About 3yrs ago I started experiencing strange bladder problems,I'd cough or sneeze and my bladder would open .Not just drops of urine but it would actually run down my legs,it was so bad I had to cut my grand kids diapers and use them as sanitary towels . I could not control it at all I also suffered from pain that started just below my navel and went round to the middle of my back,. Housework took hours because I had to keep stopping to rest. In my mind and I know this sounds stupid I thought it was just part of the ageing process . Strange thing is that over the counter painkillers actually worked for a while and I just carried on using them. Two to three months ago though ,the pain became unbearable and I went to our family doctor who we've being seeing for nearly 30 years. He never examined me but gave me a script for an antibiotic and a painkiller and told me to come back two weeks later. Before the two weeks were up I went to another doctor who has also been with our family for many years. I couldn't breathe properly and was nebulized there times. He also examined me and when he got to the upper part of my tummy all he asked “ What the hell is this “ ? Thank goodness, he had his own ultra sound scanner and radiographer. They found a tumour that was about 18inches long and weighed about nine kgs at the time This thing had worked itself through most of my internal organs displacing just about all of them and had eventually caused the breathing problem I just thank God that I went to him because I wouldn't have been here now to tell you or share in the hope of helping someone else out there..Soon after, I went to see a surgeon and I was sent for a ct scan. Lucky for me again it hadn't attached itself to any major organs or blood vessels except a spot on one of my vertebrae. He told me it had to come out like yesterday. All this time the sonographer who did the CT had told my daughter that there was a 75% chance that it was malignant, and she never told me. Anyway, I went to theatre it was removed and weighed 10 kgs and also included my right ovary When the results of the tumour came back I was told I had stage 3 ovarian cancer. The surgeon was convinced he had removed it all but he still wanted me to have Chemotherapy, one of the biggest fears in my life. I haven't started chemo yet because the oncologist found another growth in my tummy and she is concerned about the spot on my vertebrae where the first tumour was resting. I will however be starting chemo soon but need to raise money for the much needed drugs as I am not on medical aid here in Zimbabwe. Thank you all in advance. Burnese
