Weʼre raising £500 to Mount Everest Stairmaster Challenge

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Hi everyone, First off thank you for taking time to visit this page to find out what we are up to!

Myself, Niamh and Olivia are trying to raise as much money as possible for our 3 chosen charities. We will be splitting the money 3 ways between Dementia UK, MIND and The Health Tree Foundation Grimsby. We will be climbing the equivalent of going up to the summit of Mount Everest that equals 3,871 floors, we will be doing this all on our Stairmasters at Burn Fitness Cleethorpes and this challenge will commence in February and have 28 days to complete the challenge. We will be keeping you updated throughout the whole journey and would appreciate any words of motivation or just keeping us entertained, I think we will need it!!

Alanagh- My family and I have all been affected by Dementia in some way, hence why I have chosen a charity which is very close to my heart. I believe we have to do more to help wherever we can with families affected by Dementia whether that's supporting health care nurses, 1 on 1 support for the people affected and surrounding families or just simply trying to make a difference to that persons life either by sitting and chatting for an hour or going out an spending time doing the things they used to love! I would really appreciate any of your kind donations and cannot wait to start our challenge.

Niamh- I have chosen MIND as my charity due to the endless amount of people it helps. Mental health awareness is on the increase and I have taken this challenge to promote this charity that little bit more! Mental health affects so many different people, some of who are close to my heart and therefore this is my way of giving something back to them. No one is alone!!

Olivia- I am 16 years old currently doing my GCSCE'S at Tollbar Academy and I am one of the 15 finalists of Miss Grimsby and district 2019 and part of Miss Grimsby is fundraising for the local hospital charity The Health Tree Foundation all my donations will be going to the rainforest children's ward, the neonatal ward at Grimsby Princess Diana Hospital also beauty with a purpose which is the Miss England/ World charity for sick children. I am new to fitness so this will be a big challenge for me as I only joined the gym this year!
