Weʼre raising £5,000 to re-build a dormitory at a remote boys' school in Kenya after it burnt down in a fire - the community have done so much, this will finish it
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Three years ago, one of the dorms at St Bartholomew's School was destroyed by a fire. Thankfully, no lives were lost, but ever since, the boys have been squashed into a mud-built building, unfit for purpose whilst funds are sourced to rebuild the dorm. It is nearly done - the majority of the roof is complete, but the community have run out of money. Rather than let another year go by, we want to complete this dorm. It's a simple thing, but for the boys, it is everything. Some do not have homes of their own - school is where they feel part of a family, where they are fed and cared for and where they can grasp an opportunity to learn. Please join us in helping them.
