I've raised £500 to sponsor a pupil in Kenya to go to secondary school (via the charity Gap-Africa) and also raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee.

Story

The Shiplake College Burr House pupils did odd jobs during half-term to support two Charities: Gap Africa (gap-africa.org) and Disasters Emergency Committee (dec.org.uk).

The Burr House staff have decided to put their necks on the line (excuse the pun) as well!

Five staff - five beards - five shaves.

Reach £100: bye bye to Mr Woolner's beard

Reach £200: ciao to Mr Mackworth-Praed's beard

Reach £300: adios to Mr Claridge's beard

Reach £400: Mr Wheeler will oblige

Reach £500: au revoir to Monsieur Guillaud's barbe

The principal target is £500, and all five beards will go. But if we can reach £1000, one of us has agreed to get their head shaved instead of their beard.

The big shave will happen on the last night of term, Tuesday 28 June. Pictures/videos will be posted on this page. Please support Burr House and spread this page!
