Burscough has really benefited from the ‘Burscough Litter Pickers’ this last year and you can see a difference in how much tidier everywhere is. It’s been a long hard road at times, our small group giving up our Sundays to clean areas like parks and ponds that frankly should not ever be seen in the state we have seen them in! We are really trying our best to make the community proud of this little corner of West Lancashire and we are satisfied with what we have achieved so far. Burscough is a wonderful place and the spirit of the community really shines through, it’s very rewarding when a member of the public thanks us and it is that that motivates us. So our group is giving something back and making sure the paths, roads, canals, parks and ponds are clean and tidy. In doing this we are also recycling on a huge scale and helping the environment at the same time. Any donations we receive will go directly back into the community in the way of equipment for the group so we can keep on cleaning the area we all know and love.
