Story
LFRS Fylde Coast Charity Walk - 26/01/2020.
The NSW Rural Fire Service are currently fighting the devastating Australian bushfires. The out-of-control fires have destroyed over 1,500 homes, torched 15.6 million acres of land, killed countless animals and claimed 23 lives so far.
We are a group of firefighters from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and we want to do what we can to help.
On the 26th of January we will be walking from Lytham to Bispham (11 miles) in full fire kit and breathing apparatus. The money we raise will go towards supporting the victims, the firefighters and the volunteers.

4 years agoWe are no longer taking donations. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way... We have managed to raise over £5,000! All of the money will go towards the firefighters risking their lives to protect their communities. 4 years agoThere are thousands of volunteers risking their lives every day to protect their communities. One volunteer said "Everyone has a choice in life, in what they want to do when they wake up in the morning, I'd rather be out there firefighting - doing our part for the community." Amazing. This is why we are doing what we can to help. A massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Please help us by sharing our justgiving page and spreading the word!
