Story

Our students are competing in the 10th World Karate Championships in Manchester this October. Our team is highly skilled and successful - over the past three years the team has returned with 105 World Titles.

We are doing a sponsored "throw" event in May, where we will attempt to perform 2000 throws in 30 minutes. As many of us as possible will be taking part and we are asking for your support and encouragement!

Do you think we can make it? By my calculations, if a quick hip throw takes 2 seconds plus 6 seconds to reset, that's one throw per 8 seconds, meaning we'll need at least 9 of us performing throws at that speed consistently for 30 minutes in order to reach our target. Please show your support by donating!

All funds will go towards the club (Bushido Martial Arts, Stockport) to directly support our students competing in the World Karate Championships. Funding will go towards uniforms, equipment, tournament fees, transport and training sessions.
