Story

The Imagination Library help parents and children to enjoy exploring books together from birth —looking at pictures, talking about the stories and just having fun. Children in Nottingham can start school with reading skills 14% behind the national average. This means, for the rest of their school lives, our children are having to ‘catch up’ to close the gap with their peers nationally. The Imagination Library is proven to change this - raising children’s literacy levels by 28.8% by their 5th birthday. By receiving these books our children are more like to be ready to start school when they turn five, go on to succeed throughout their time at school and leave school with greater skills.

You can give EVERY child a head start in life

There are over 4000 Nottingham children registered with the Imagination Library so far. It is currently running in nine of our neighbourhoods across the city, but together we can do more!
