Story
Students on Level 3 Business Studies at Lancaster & Morecambe College wanted to do something that not only helped to keep themselves mentally and physically healthy during this unique isolated situation but they also wanted to raise money for their local community to help and support the key workers who are doing an amazing job everyday. As business studies students they understand the massive impacts that COVID19 is having on local businesses and want to raise money to support our local community.
Students have extended the original 2.6 Challenge to the whole of May. By doing this it also acts as a team building and motivational tool for the students to keep them together even though they are apart and missing theit friends and classmates.
Students have chosen their own personal challenge from completing 26 press-ups every day, completing 26 minutes of home workouts every day, completing 26 leg raises every day to running 2.6 miles every day or walking an additional 2.6 km everyday.
Even their course tutor is getting involved by challenging herself to run 2.6km every day!!
