Hello, we are Ward Thomas, a twin sister Country Music duo from Hampshire, UK.

Starting on 21st May, until the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow on Nov 1, we have pledged to busk every week in a different UK location to raise as much money and awareness as possible for Climate Change & the Environment.

The 5 charities that we've chosen are:

TreeSisters - TreeSisters is a UK based charity that places tropical rainforest restoration into our own hands. Through individuals and businesses that give back to nature every month, TreeSisters has so far funded the planting of over 15 million trees across the world. This charity was a pretty perfect charity for us to support... it just says it all in their name!

The Ocean Clean Up - This is an incredible organisation helping to clear our oceans and rivers of all the plastic and trash. They are constantly developing advanced technology in order to achieve the largest clean up in history.

The Arctic Ice Project - This organisation really caught our attention as the technology and science behind what they are developing is fascinating! One of their promising solutions is a novel materials approach where they will be deploying a thin layer of small hollow glass microspheres across targeted regions of the Arctic to improve the reflectivity of the sea ice. Mimicking natural processes to reflect solar energy back out of our atmosphere encouraging more natural weather patterns through the seasons of the year.

Jane Goodall Institute - This charity/organisation supports Chimpanzee sanctuary’s around the world and takes Dr Jane Goodall’s approach by inspiring people to take care or our natural world and encourage conservation for other endangered species. The institute is very close to Lizzy’s heart due to her experience volunteering with Primates in Africa. She came home very passionate and forever committed to supporting conservation around the world. Catherine has also become involved and shares her passion.

Client Earth - This team takes a different approach by using the power of the law to protect people and the planet. They are a group of lawyers aiming to tackle elements of the law to create change within certain industries for the sake of the environment.
