Story

Please help Buster get his surgery

Hello

We have had our dog, Buster since June 2013. He is a rescue dog so we don't know his full story. From pretty much day one he has suffered with health, mainly ear problems. We believe due to past neglection this has made him deaf.

We need to raise around £3000 for 2 vital ear operations for him and would like your help. This surgery would be to remove his whole ear canal in his worst ear (right), there is no hope of any hearing in his right ear, and to just remove the wall in the other (left), which could potentially give him some of his hearing back.

He also needs a pretty bad lump on his leg removed, which can be done whilst he is in surgery. This has grown considerably.

He has been on steroids for years to help with the constant infections, they made him put on quite a lot of weight, which is not good for his heart murmour or soft palate. He also suffers with his skin, which is another reason he takes the steroids.

Buster has previously had 2 eye ulcers, one which he needed surgery for, it got bad we thought he'd lose his eye, but he pulled through and recovered.

Buster is the sweetest dog in the world. He loves cuddles and has separation anxiety. The first time we had to give him ear drops, he would hide under the table and growl. Now, all I have to do is sit on the floor and he comes running over, sits inbetween my legs and lets me do it, as long as he gets his treat! He has blossomed into an incredible little dog over the years, the bond he has with me and my mum is unbreakable. We are desperate to get our lil boo bear out of pain.

This was Buster during the February/March snow 2018. He did not approve.

Thank you for reading Buster's story. I hope you can help!
