My little boy Buster was born and abandoned in a bin in Tenerife; before he was rescued by Theresa. I was then the lucky person who chose to be his mum. 3 years ago he started struggling to walk on his front right leg. We had numerous trips to the vets, various scans and nothing at the time showed up. After time the limp and pain seemed to disappeared. I moved back to the UK and of course flew Buster over with me. Like any other dog, he loves going for long walks playing in the grass, playing sticks and chasing balls! However a couple of months ago he had 1 really bad night, he couldnt walk from pain and cried all night. Even the strong medication didnt touch the sides! Next day we were straight back to the vets for an Xray (£350 later). Vets think, what showed up was.. where he had been dropped in the bin his bone had cracked and moved and had been growing the wrong way ever since! 3 months in and on strong meds and no improvement. He is only allowed 5 minute walks at a time, not being allowed off the lead to do what he loves best... PLAYING! Now has to have a 3D scan on the elbow and leg to determine what it is thats actually happened and what needs to be done to correct it. That 3d scan / CAT scan alone costs £1250! He will need an operation to put the bones back in the right place so he can walk pain free again. Hopefully from the CAT scan they will see straight away, however if not he will then have to have another scan in which they cut a incision in the leg and feed a camera through so they can have a live look. That costs £1800 then the operation fees are still extra! I am really struggling to find the money for all of these vet fees myself. He hasnt got insurance as hes always had problems with his legs therefore the Insurers wouldn't cover him for anything to do with the leg / paws and elbow area. So if anyone could donate anything please, it would really help so much! I hate seeing my boy in pain. A little is a lot to someone who has nothing! Thank youx
