Woolacombe and Mortehoe Preschool (affectionately known as Busy Bees!) is an established and much loved part of the local community which has been at the heart of Woolacombe for a generation.

Our main classroom is situated in the Old School House, a building which is a 100 years old and has required some improvement during recent years! Two years ago we were able to renovate the building internally, giving the children a more suitable and usable space which has proved extremely popular and our nursery class is now rapidly expanding.

This year we have been able to go one step further and fund a purpose built classroom adjoining the Old School House. Although we have been able to raise enough money to fund this extension we unfortunately have no money left to develop the outside area...

Early Years education gives equal importance to indoor and outdoor learning and we want to be able to give our youngest children the richest of experiences whilst learning outside.

Currently the garden is small, damp, tired and uninspiring and although the staff work extremely hard to provide a creative environment there is no doubt that we need more space and equipment.

Please help us to develop a garden that our children deserve and one which will have them wanting to be outside as much as we do!
