BUZZ CUT FOR MEREWORTH!

Hello! Many of you will know that I am the Chair of the PTA at Mereworth Primary School, a place I love and my youngest child adores. At the start of the academic year we were asked to help with the huge task of replacing over 30 computers in the ICT Suite by this Summer. Myself and my amazing team will always do our best to provide what the school needs. However our hands are now tied and fundraising opportunities are lost during this period of school closures and lock down. I would like to help the school in this testing time and fundraise to try and reach our original target.

So here is where you come in! Whether you are a parent or family member of a child at Mereworth, a member of staff or someone that wants to support me personally, I promise I will do the thing that most women would not and I will shave my hair!

That's right, a buzz cut! I propose to do this on the 19th May 2020 and of course it will be videoed for you all to see how I look (perhaps like my brother!)

I have chosen this date for a specific reason, as it is an important anniversary and one that certainly reminds me that life is short. Maybe that will help on the day! During this strange time when I feel helpless as I'm not doing a job that's helping anyone or able to do anything but stay indoors and keep my family safe, I can do this whilst following the rules and hopefully in turn make a real difference.

I really appreciate your support and please don't make me shave my head for nothing!!
