I've raised £1000 to raise funds for treatment for Trisha Ward, a devoted mum, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who is courageously fighting cancer.

So many of our loved ones have fought, are fighting now or sadly will face the fight against cancer because cancer itself isn't extraordinary, the extraordinary is found in the people battling the disease, in their courage, their strength and determination and their ability to keep fighting and somehow smiling. Extraordinary people like my friend Trisha who has been fighting cancer for 8 years now and who's battle is becoming increasingly difficult despite having undergone surgery and many conventional treatments and clinical trials. The irony is that despite suffering acute pain every day Trisha still radiates love, calm, positivity and happiness for those around her. Her lovely family have started raising funds for treatment and I'd like to help, with of course the help of you all my family, my friends and my colleagues. I am going to run the Northern Jumble half marathon on Sunday 4th November - I have never run that distance before and my only hope is to complete the distance and raise as much money as possible for this extraordinary lady, if you can help please do.
