Story

Caden is keen to earn his medal whilst raising money for a charity close to his heart. He will be climbing the equivalent of K2 throughout the summer which is a climb of 8611m/28,251ft (43,055 steps!). Please, please help him to achieve his goal. See below for more info about Food for Thought Daventry.

We have always associated child hunger with third world countries, but it is almost unbelievable that large numbers of children in the UK wake up hungry, go to school hungry and go to bed hungry every day. They rely heavily on the free school meals that they can get during the school term. Even then, they may not get much else.

Food for Thought Daventry want to ensure that children in the local area do not lose the 'one' meal a day they get in the school term during the holidays.

During the current Covid19 crisis, children have not been at school and so Food for Thought Daventry have worked tirelessly, delivering hot meals to children and their families throughout lockdown. They are now continuing with providing these families in need with food throughout the summer.

Food for Thought Daventry are only able to continue the work they do thanks to a small number of devoted volunteers and donations from local businesses and individuals.

Please help to support this much needed charity to enable them to continue the fight against child hunger!
