Story

Dai John, Head of Engagement and Ally Duncan, Head of Communications, will be running the Alloa half marathon on March 31st to raise money for The Highland Cadet Forces Trust.

The Highland Cadet Forces Trust obtained charitable status to be able to commence fundraising in order to secure and enhance the valuable role of the cadet movement.

The purposes of the trust include the promotion of education, citizenship, community development, public participation, and equality and diversity. We all recognise the importance of the cadet movement in developing citizenship and leadership in young people through their activities - for example through participation in aspects of community life such as music and sporting activities - thus effectively promoting self confidence and developing social skills.
