Story
Caia Park (Queens Park) has a strong history of self-reliance and community work. We need this more today than ever. Organised under the Caia Park Partnership's directive: to support those in Caia Park, we hope those more fortunate can donate or offer physical, practical, monetary or any other meaningful donations such as food / essential items etc to support this initiative.
We believe using our structure, polices, reach and good standing in the area, we are the safest and fairest organisation to distribute this relief aid and protect those most in need in our area.
Any un-used funds will be given to the Holiday Hunger Project in Caia Park or a similar project.

4 years agoDue to your support we have been able to buy in to the amazing Fairshare scheme (Merseyside branch) The food can go out faster than it comes in. Our community's practitioners are supporting and identifying those in crisis. One CPP practitioner stated:- a vulnerable client was working but lost their job in a cafe when knockdown occurred. No pay off, no government furlough and has been selling furniture, pots / pans to feed themselves!.........A 5 week wait for universal credit has seen to that! Its brought us to tears......... this will help!!!

4 years agoSome examples of the needs of our residents:- I can't collect the free school meal vouchers from the estate office as I can't take out my 3 children, 2 have disabilities and one most at risk of Covid-19. I'm a single mum and have no help!' A mother who had or has a job but now worse off then being on the BREADLINE. An elderly couple and mother reliant on help from family or school and other networks to assist now home alone struggling'. Please help. We did but there will be more. Pass and share about.
