Story
We are partaking in a month long expedition over the summer of 2019 working with THINK PACIFIC: a charitable organisation which operates in rural areas in Fiji. Over 1/3 of children living in Fiji grow up poverty and over 200 schools were damaged by the cyclone Winston in February 2016.
During this period, we will undergo deep mental, emotional and physical challenges which will enhance our understanding of life in the developing world. We will be living with a Fijian family of our own in their home which will be an honour and an experience. Through the implementation of education and sports projects, we will increase opportunities for Fijan children by developing the standards of education, replenishing school resources and re-building essential facilities which will create a path of opportunities for children living in these rural areas.
We hope to raise awareness of the problems everyday Fijian children experience and through your help, aid the growth of this foundation and assisting us on our goal to make a difference. Hoping to achieve our goal, we will be completing a sponsored walk and silence, posts will later be made in regards to this.
For our fundraising, we will do doing a sponsored silence on Tuesday 30th April (9am-9pm). During this time, Zoe and myself will be strapped together for the entire 12-hour period - we will attend each others scheduled lectures and seminars, showing our dedication. Those of you who know either Zoe or myself will understand the difficulty of this... both of us together, that is a true challenge. In support of this, please show some love by donating how ever much to this cause. All donations mean a lot to us both
Thank you for taking the time to read this and any donations would mean a lot.
Love Zoe and Caitlin xox
