Story

I have been volunteering at Bambelela wildlife care and vervet monkey rehabilitation centre in South Africa (http://www.bambelela.org.za/). I have been volunteering their for last 4 year on and off. While I 'm there I am the head caretaker for the handicap cage. These monkeys could be blind, missing limbs, brain damaged and are the ones who can't survive in the wild, this cage is where they will live the rest of their lives. I help to look after them, including feeding them, often by hand as, I clean their cage ever day, so that they have a clean place to live in. Sometimes I have to give them medicine to help them get better or to control their condition, such as epilepsy. I also give them physio if they needed it. Some of them just want love and attention which I give them by spending many hours in the cage with them making sure that they are OK. I am raising money to help give them more care and better life and to be able to give them more toys that could enhance their abilities to try and help enrich their lives. .
