    Story

Calf Sanctuary, we got the move this year to the forever home~ A safe haven for our rescues for LIFE.
Sadly the winter housing is all very run down. We have worked very hard getting all the animals here over the last 3 months and we have taken many more rescues in.
The cow shed is a long way off finished and winter is just around the corner.
The alpacas have no shelter yet and the goats desperately need raised bedding off the floor.
Everything we have done is on a budget as feed costs and vet care has rocketed since we have been here.

We could finish off the serious leaks where there is no guttering at all
and hopefully get some raised bed areas for the goats
Help us to get the animals cosy for winter.
Sadly this week we have had to start to remove the roof on the stables as it was derelict and starting to fall down. If we do not sort before the real bad weather then it would be to far gone to repair and need demolishing
I have raised the goal to try and get the roof sorted AND sort the alpaca housing X

    UPDATE
So far we have managed to get some of the guttering up to temporarily remove some of the excess water, sadly when the real heavy rain comes the guttering still cannot cope, but thats a huge job and will have to wait till next year as it involves drains and part demolition to re route the water problem. But what we have done has helped to keep the barns drier.
We have sorted the cow area with gates and rubber matting and we have had a pallet fence made around what was going to be dukes shelter~ to allow more dry space for the animals
We have also had an area made for the goats thats built off the ground
and we have purchased the Alpaca shelter (panels) which now needs to be erected

If we could reach the target it would mean we could get the sturdy winter shed built for the alpacas and make a better entrance and a safer fence for the pigs as poppy is always testing the weak boundary

    Thank you for your support

This year we have taken in 4 cows, 13 sheep, 2 goats, 4 alpacas, 2 donkeys, 30 hens and hopefully this next coming year many more. Its our first winter in the new forever home and the works list needed to be done is HUGE BUT we are thankful that the animals are safe, this week we are hoping to get the alpaca shelter built and the area where our 3 big pigs are made safe and dry. We turn away many pigs sadly as we just don't have the funds to make areas pig proof Just a few £s can mean lives saved So much to do so little time

Hi all.... Thank Moooo for your support. We have achieved a lot but still a long way to go. The flooding yesterday tested our guttering fix to the max and the flooding started again. So we now know that to cope with severe rain we really need drainage sorting. We have built beds for goats, guttering done, panels made for the alpaca shed and paid builders. We would love to get the alpaca shed built and a roof on and finish the fencing to move star the bullock in to an area with his friends but so we can still treat his eye PLEASE HE

Yesterday we had to bring the cows in as weather turned very bad. We are not ready for them but managing. Today we bought 6 more equine matts to extend their area over the rubble and also 360.00 on guttering to try to re route some of the water to reduce the flooding. Tomorrow we have 2 builders coming to start work on urgent jobs so that a daily rate which will soon add up PLEASE keep your support coming as we cannot do this without you Thank you so much
