Story

I met my soul mate, we married quickly and then found out that to stay in this country together we have to pay a ridiculous amount of money, jump through loads of hoops, have so much stress and hurt. As many of you guys know, we have the extension date coming up for our spouse visa next month. We also now have a nearly 2 year old son.

The fees for Americans to remain in this country are extortionate, we have to raise a few thousand to be able to afford everything, the visa service and the NHS surcharge that my husband Anthony has to pay every year.

Anthony is STILL waiting for the FBI to send his fingerprints to his Sia licence so he can begin work as a security guard. The job is there ready for him but it's yet more bureaucratic nonsense we have to contend with. Anthony has to have held a job for six months before the visa date, because he hasn't we now have to do the longer visa route.

I am terrified my family will be split up. I can't eat properly. I barely sleep or I sleep too much. I feel sick all the time. I've lost loads of weight and my hair has thinned. The stress has gotten to us so badly, but we'll never give up on each other or our family.

All I'm asking for is help to afford the fees, I'll gladly pay anyone and everyone back who helps, just if we have to appeal or redo the whole process we'll need help.

This country needs to sort out the visa process for Americans. So many families are torn apart, I don't want our son to be without his father.
