Story
I am a Master's student in Clinical Psychology and Human Neuroscience, with a keen interest in Electronics, Mechanics, and Engineering. I have developed this skillset by self-teaching Biomedical Engineering and have built multiple assistive technologies to restore functions for individuals.
I am now using my skills to design and build custom assistive technologies and disability aids for people in the Cornwall community, from gloves that can restore hand function to adapted toys for children with disabilities.
I offer my time and labour completely free. I don't run a business, I just want to use my hands to help people regain their independence. However while my time is free, the components are not. To build these life-changing devices I need to purchase components and I will be funding this myself, but I would like to help more people than my student budget allows.
If you would like to donate and help towards this cause, I will be tracking exactly what component your donation purchases and you will be notified of how you've personally contributed towards the build. That way you know exactly how you have helped rebuild a life!
Current Projects:
A wearable device that helps a stroke survivor regain hand function. (https://youtube.com/shorts/kHOBgr6Ol3s?si=wQOo6dCMHRMJLqLn)
An interoception device to help a 9 year old boy with his anger.
and more to come.
Your donation allows me to say yes to the next person who asks for help. Thank you for being part of the team!
