I've raised £2000 to help raise money to enable me to volunteer in Ghana and help build a STEM Centre for the children of Ghana to have a better education.

Hello my name is Callum Woods and I attend Rainford Sixth Form College in St Helens.
I am aiming to reach a target of £2000 by June 2018, to enable me to travel to a village in Ghana in July/August 2018. Whilst in Ghana I will help to build a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Centre for the children of Ghana to utilise, which will increase the quality of education in Ghana.
The idea of building and furnishing classrooms for the Ghanaian children excites me. Firstly, it is very clear that the level of education in Ghana is not at the same standard as that for young people in England. I want to help to reduce the gap between the two Countries, by improving the educational facilities, and allowing a higher quality of lessons to be taught. By volunteering in Ghana I will have the opportunity to be part of building better facilities to be used by the teachers and children. Secondly, this experience is a unique chance to go to Ghana and potentially improve the lives of young people like myself. Volunteering will be an amazing experience that I would like to be involved in and I am sure will have a huge impact on me personally and my life experience going forward.
Please help to support me. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated
thanks Callum
