Story

In July 2019 after I have completed my GCSE's I will be going on a school expedition with Camps International (global leaders in ethical and sustainable school expeditions) to Peru. The expedition will help to challenge my view of the world by understanding the day to day challenges rural communities face. I will work on projects, which will transform communities and help them overcome some of the significant issues they face such as access to clean water, education and housing. The project will be focusing on combatting high malnutrition levels, building greenhouses, allotments and educating on nutrition as well as planting trees, by the thousands, all this will be working with the local communities. The aim is to educate them on sustainability to help them not only today but, for the future.

The expedition is self funded and over the next 13 months I have to raise £4290. Along with 4 of my rugby team mates from Thatcham Rugby Club we have held a christmas fayre, done bag packing at Tescos and held a bingo night. We have more events planned for the year. So far I have raised £650. The next event is cycling 66 miles in the Wiggle super series Magnificat Sportive event in June. It would be incredible if you could donate to help support my fundraising.

Thank you very much for your support.
