Story

I will be volunteering at Nepal Srijanshil Children’s Protection Centre in Chitwan, Nepal from the 29th January to the 12th February 2019. NSCPC was set up by Shushila and her husband, who sold the shop that they owned in order to fund the centre. They have created a safe and fun environment for (currently) 12 children, aged 5-18.

So far I have bought a variety of books to donate, and I am now hoping to raise enough funds to buy warm clothing and extra bedding for the children from local shops when I am at the centre. Winter in Nepal can be cold, and Shushila has told me that warm clothing would be welcomed. If this goes over target, any extra funds will be used to buy some extra treats for the children, such as toys/games/snacks, or go towards some of the costs of running the shelter.

Any and all support would be greatly appreciated, and I’ll provide updates when I get there.
