Challenge Accepted 🙈✅

On Saturday 14th June myself, and fellow Cartmel YFC members Lucy Dickinson and Becky Barker are taking on a triathlon like challenge in support of Andys Man Club and our small but mighty young farmers Club - Cartmel YFC🤩

As many of you will be aware, I sadly lost my brother last April to suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 50 in the UK. Andy’s Man Club are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free to attend peer-to-peer support groups across the UK.

By raising valuable funds for Andy’s Man Club, we hope to help end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health with the power of conversation. #ITSOKAYTOTALK

Cally, Lucy and Becky are taking on the challenge of swimming the width of Coniston Water and Windermere Lake –1.5 miles (2415mtrs) each! Then cycling down the side of Consiton Water and all the way around Lake Windermere - approximately a lovely 40 miles! Finishing the cycle at fell foot where we will be joined by some more members of our club to walk up to the top of Gummers Howe to complete our challenge - all within 24hours! 😆

Cartmel YFC is a small club based in the south of Cumbria, with around 20 members meeting weekly and partaking in a variety of activities! The club is a great support network and some of the money raised will go towards help keeping the club up and running 💜

A fair challenge for 3 ladies of questionable fitness.. but challenge accepted! ✅

Any help with sponsorship, in any way including words of encouragement is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to help by way of donation please help us by sharing our page and spreading the word #ITSOKAYTOTALK!

Together, let’s change the statistics 💙
